Popchips

Popchips...a new find!!!

These Popchips are so good. I wouldn't say I am a chip person. I don't really crave chips or anything, BUT I do like a good crunch with a sandwich. These are perfect. They are individually packaged in 100 calorie portions and are really CRUNCHY and delicious. They are not baked or fried...they are popped (somehow???). I don't know how they do it, but they do in a relatively "healthy" way.

Popchips are available in many flavors. My favorite is BBQ...which is a little surprising to me!!! I have never been into any sort of a BBQ flavored anything, but these are really good.
CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH...yum!!!

Yum-A-Roo Lunch Idea

I just made the most delicious salad for my lunches this week! It is called "Scoopable Chinese Chicken Salad." It is from this neato cookbook called "Hungry Girl 200 Under 200." I was familiar with the Hungry Girl web site, but have never tried one of their cookbooks, until now!

The base of this salad is broccoli slaw and the dressing is Newman's Own Lighten Up! Low-Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing. I have tried a couple of other Newman's dressings, but this one is s first...really tasty!

I'm looking forward to trying other recipes from my new cookbook, especially since this first creation turned out so great!

Lemonade

"It's not a pink slip. It's a blank page."

I caught the neatest little documentary on hulu.com tonight. It is called lemonade. It is a documentary about several different people who got laid off...and their attitude toward that "freedom" to turn lemons into lemonade and really do something. Each person did it in their own individual way...a yoga instructor, a coffee roaster, a filmmaker, an artist, a blogger, etc.

No, I'm not without a job, BUT the message of the film was more than that. Take opportunities to do MORE of what you love.

EA Sports Active (for Wii)

This is the most awesome Wii "game" for working out There are lots of different components, but one of them is a 30-day challenge. I am on Day 6 and have already improved. It is like having a personal trainer. In fact, I have named my Active trainer, Wayne...Wayne Wii. He is very serious about my workouts, but offers a lot of positive feedback, as well! I've offered him some words a couple of times, too :|

One of the neat things about the EA Sports Active is the way it monitors your movements. You wear a leg band (insert Wii Nunchuk) and hold the Wiimote. Additionally, it monitors movement using your balance board, but this is an option. I haven't decided if I like using my balance board with it. Because of the small space I Wii in, I find myself constantly having to move things around during my workout.

Anyway, it is very cool!!!

Tap & Track

I'm really excited about a new app I got for my iTouch! It is called Tap & Track. It allows you to track your calories and exercise. It monitors your weight and adjusts your allowed calorie intake as your weight changes. You are able to earn "extra" calories through exercise - very cool!

I'm really impressed by it so far...mostly because you are able to use the app on and OFFline...very cool perk!!!
